Aim of the Festival

Buddha Festival has been conceptualized with the following aim :

To expose followers of Buddhism to its art, culture and philosophy practiced in other parts of the world.

To create an international platform for exchange of ideas at the very place where Buddhism was reborn       in India in 1956.

To make Buddhism practiced in India contemporary by involving people in socio-cultural activities.

To honor the greatest son of India, who was not only enlightened himself but propagated the light of       knowledge for peace and harmony among human beings.

To propagate the finest art and culture, which has been the hallmark of Buddhism in India during the       time of Ashoka, and develop interest among people of younger generation for such rich art and culture.
